We encourage our students to use the Connecticut Digital Library and our subscription database Grolier Online as a first step when searching for information online as reliable and objective information can sometimes be difficult to find on the Internet. Search results on Grolier Online provide a list of links to web sites that have been evaluated and contain information on the search topic. If a search of the internet is still necessary see below for a list of "Kid-Friendly" seardh engines that students may wish to use.

INFOTRAC Junior. This is a direct link to the InfoTrac Jr. database. Contains Articles and curriculum-related materials selected especially for grades 6-8. such as the Columbia Encyclopedia, magazine and newspaper articles. Accessible from home with a public library card number.
